Refreshingly Flawed

Elizabeth McCourt is a Leadership Coach, TEDx speaker and author of the upcoming book Refreshingly Flawed. Her life is anything but linear, and that's exactly what makes her story so compelling.

Growing up in the Hamptons as the daughter of a teacher and estate gardener, Elizabeth was surrounded by wealth she didn't have. She was bullied relentlessly in elementary school. She cleaned houses for Steven Spielberg and Donna Karan to pay for college. She became a waitress, a banker, a lawyer, and then gave it all up to be by her father's side as he was dying.

In Episode 36 of Besser werden, Elizabeth speaks with Efe von Thenen about the nonlinear path that led her to become one of the most sought-after leadership coaches working across Europe and the US. About loss: her father, her best friend, her mother. About the epiphany she had in a Berlin bunker that changed everything. And about the belief that carried her through all of it: get up and try again.
