Episode #56
Founder & CEO Pumpkin Organics
Jaclyn Schnau
Kids deserve better
Jaclyn Schnau is the Founder & CEO of Pumpkin Organics. Before she started her own company, she spent years building big food companies around the world.
Most people see her as the confident one who jumps into a room full of people first. She says she is actually quiet at heart.
She grew up in a family full of PhDs, doctors and musicians. She calls herself the ugly duckling who went into business. She built her first robot with her father when she was two.
Years later she had to solve her own health issues. She assembled her own medical team and learned what a broccoli or a blueberry actually does in the body. Then she walked into the baby aisle of a German supermarket for the first time and started turning the labels over.
"I thought I must be crazy."
But what does it take to change an industry that nobody wants to see changed?
That is what Jaclyn Schnau tells Efe von Thenen in Episode 56 of Besser werden.
